Hi everyone,

We need your help. I am Blain Belayneh, the regional representative of Mary Joy Aid Through Development and I am nominating Sister Zebider the founder and executive director  for CNN hero. I have been volunteering for Mary Joy since I was 15 years. For the past 4 years I have been blessed to know such an amazing person. Sister Zebider is an amazing women and words can not even explain it. I am nominating her for CNN hero and we need your help. ABOUT MARY JOY

Mary Joy works towards empowering children, women, families and other underserved community groups through integrated development programs which focus on capacity building and encourages the genuine participation of beneficiaries to the effect that target communities become HIV/AIDS competent and their livelihoods improved. Mary Joy has a decade experience in the area of integrated urban development and has identified three major thematic areas of intervention on which to focus for the next five years (2010-2015).

Zebider Zewdie’s Mary Joy feeds 40,000 children & 5000 elderly people across the nation. i consider the great effort has been involved in this huge responsibility in her every day activities…. Zebider has earned many awards for her Achievements in poverty alleviation and environmental protection efforts as well on HIV/AIDS

CNN recognizes and awards Heroes every year. “CNN Hero of the Year” is the title of the award. For the last several years different personalities from all over the world have been able to occupy a space in the“CNN Hero of the Year” nomination list and win the title and award (the “Entitlement” as “CNN Hero of the Year”). The known female humanitarian of our time, Abebach Gobena has been able to enjoy this entitlement.

This year, the entitlement MUST GO TO Sr. Zebider Zewdie (as you and me know her and her work very well).

I am an all times fan of Sr. Zebider’s great humanitarian activities in Ethiopia – one of the few seriously poverty stricken and highly disadvantaged nations of the world.

If you are a fan of Sr. Zebider’s humanitarian activities in Ethiopia and feel she deserves the Entitlement (CNN Hero of the Year/2011) you can use the link to access the online form and make your nomination of her.

Her effort counted a lot to resolve the livelihood problem of thousands and millions of Ethiopians during the last seventeen years of her community service. Similarly, your simple effort of filling the online nomination form will mean a lot and really count to help her raise her up to the status of being an international significance and urge continue her commitment and passion to improve threatened lives with greater motivation and volunteer support.
